Project Information

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One, has initiated a Design Change Reevaluation of the PD&E Study completed in 1994 for the US 41 (Venice Bypass) from Center Road to south of US 41 Business North. This reevaluation is being performed as part of the design of the project.

The design change reevaluation will evaluate other alternatives, including the roadway typical section, to minimize right-of way impacts in order to minimize right-of-way acquisition. Construction costs and Right-of-Way costs will be developed for each alternative under consideration. The reevaluation will also evaluate and document any changes since the approval of the original PD&E Study.

The project is funded for the design phase but project funding for the construction and right-of-way acquisition phases are not included in the FDOT’s Five Year Work Program at this time.
