Every transportation decision affects somebody. Residents, visitors and businesses rely on the system to meet their transportation needs. A public involvement plan has been developed in order to keep all interested public officials, citizens, and special interest groups informed and encourage them to be involved in the development of this project. The goal is to result with a safe and efficient roadway that the citizens and users can be satisfied with, while, in the process, keep everyone aware of the project’s progression.

The plan calls for the use of this website, newsletters, public meetings, public hearings, press releases to local media, advertisements for announcements in newspapers, and direct mailers.

This plan also has an evaluation element to it to ensure the affected public is involved. After public participation events, they will be reviewed for the level of participation and the variety of participants. If needed, the planned objectives will be adjusted in order to reach the desired level of public participation.
